ARTIST, WORKSHOP FACILITATOR & EDUCATOR
As a visually impaired and neurodivergent designer with a lived experience of sensory barriers, I am committed to championing representation and inclusion within the arts and community, striving to create safe, welcoming and supportive spaces which allow individuals to flourish and develop their creative identity.
Inclusivity in the arts has always been at the centre of my artistic practice. My undergraduate dissertation “A Lived Experience of Barriers”: The Prioritisation of Vision in Art and its Impact on the Visually Impaired allowed me to reflect upon my unique experiences of navigating the creative world. In my creative practice I work with mixed media, screen printing techniques and Photoshop to create sensory installations and art prints which aim to question our relationship with vision and generate conversations around diversity and inclusion. I have exhibited my artwork at renowned international trade shows such as Topdrawer, London (2022) and Premier Vision, Paris (2019). I have also volunteered as an organiser and exhibitor at well-known arts festivals including Festival of the Girl (October 2023 - Current) where widening access to the arts was at the centre of my work.

Festival of The Girl is a not-for-profit initiative that aims to inspire and engage girls aged 7 - 11 years and support adults to raise girls in a less stereotyped way.

'We've created global interactive events to give girls access to an incredible line up of female role models, workshops and activities that they can't always get at school.  Our festivals are safe environments for girls to have fun, try something new, and most importantly; leave with a boost of self confidence.
Our main annual event takes place every October coinciding with UN's International Day of the Girl Child.  We explore a huge variety of topics from careers, to body positivity, to mental health and sustainability.' - FOTG
